Our CUISINE
At „Zum Pfeiffer,“ we offer an innovative perspective on pan-European cuisine with Saxon tastes and traditional French techniques. Our dishes and approach reflect exactly what makes the Pfeiffer so special: proximity to nature and a deep connection to Saxon history. We use regional and fresh products that have been selected with meticulous care to create an unforgettable culinary experience for real connoisseurs. A big focus for us is venison and wild game: as an ode to the deep historic connection to hunting, we support traditional, ethical hunters and Saxon butchers. And most importantly: quality above all else. Our in-house pastry chef is constantly creating unique and alluring desserts, ranging from home-made ice cream in all kinds of flavors to cakes and small sweet bites. Everything is made by hand in-house and our rigorous attention to detail shapes every step of the culinary process.
Our menu changes constantly with the seasons. Shortly before Easter we now offer dishes with lamb, asparagus and quail. The “Hunter’s Plate” is one of our absolute favorite dishes: fresh venison and home-made pork and deer sausages from an acquainted hunter, cooked in a rich tomato sauce and topped with cheese for an exceptional and tasty experience.
